APPLICATIONS

Commodity Industries : The largest use is as filler in powdered home laundry detergents, Kraft process for the manufacture of wood pulp and the Glass industry (as fining agent to remove small air bubbles) provides another significant application for Sodium Sulphate.

Food Industry : Used as a diluent for food colours, known as E number additive E514.

Small-scale Applications : Anhydrous Sodium Sulphate is widely used as an inert drying agent in laboratory for removing traces of water from organic solutions.
